If you're in the Chapel Hill area, tune your FM receiver to 89.3 MHz. The WXYC tower is located on UNC campus; coverage extends into the near sides of Durham, Wake and Chatham Counties. When our new tower is installed we'll be able to return to our full power: 400 watts ERP.

On November 7, 1994, WXYC became the first radio station in the world to offer a continuous live Internet simulcast of its off-air signal.
