Two Wonderful Things That Will Be Happening On-Air at the Most Lovely WXYC:
Tune in Thursday (Oct 11) at 4 p.m to hear an on-air interview and a slew of rare, unreleased and live recordings from Richmond-based electronic composer and sound artist Stephen Vitiello. Vitiello has been the UNC Art Department's Visiting Lecturer and Artist in Residence, culminating in two live performances last week at Gerard Hall. Since the 1980s, Vitiello has worked with many big names in the experimental art, film and music world, including Nam Jun Paik, Pauline Oliveros, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yasunao Tone.
