Jazz great Dave Brubeck passed away Wednesday, December 5, just a day shy of his 92nd birthday. Known best for 'Take Five,' Brubeck's talent at integrating jazz elements into classical genres and more made his compositions recognizable and accessible to many audiences. In addition to jazz, Brubeck composed and arranged operettas, religious music, and show tunes, and had a special place in his heart for the cowboy song. Tune in 9 to midnight to the Thursday Night Feature on WXYC for three hours of the late Brubeck's sound.
